Helping People See the Light

イエスキリストは、私たちが遠くから見える街の
大きな光であり、同時に、家の中の小さな
燭台の光でもあると言われました。
大きな光として、
私たちは街へと出て行き、人々が直面する様々な
暗闇にイエスの光を届けたい。
小さな光として、
一人の病める人の手をそっと取る、
温かな光でありたい。

Jesus Christ said that He is both
the great light of a city
that shines from afar and the small,
gentle glow of a lamp within a home.
As a great light,
we want to step into the city and shine His light
into the shadows where people struggle.
As a small light,
we want to be a warm and tender glow
that gently takes the hand of someone in need.

「あなたがたは、世界の光です。山の上にある町は隠れる事ができません。また、あかりをつけて、それを枡の下に置く者はありません。燭台の上に置きます。そうすれば、家にいる人々全部を照らします。このように、あなたがたの光を人々の前で輝かせ、人々があなたがたの良い行いを見て、天におられるあなたがたの父をあがめるようにしなさい。」
